Written Communication  

​

The learner will organize and express ideas clearly through written communication in a manner appropriate for the intended audience.

 

This means you will write your ideas clearly and affectively to the type of audience that will be reading it.  

​

  1. I will learn to write grammatically correct papers.

  2. I will learn to organize my ideas in my papers to improve the delivery of my message.

Oral Communication  

​

The learner will organize and express ideas clearly through oral communication in a manner appropriate for the intended audience.  

​

This means you will be able to talk to the public in an organized manner.

 

  1. I will learn to organize my ideas effectively. 

  2. I will learn to organize my speeches for when I talk to the public, so my speech sounds more professional.  

Intercultural Competence  

​

The learner will develop awareness, knowledge, and behaviors necessary for intercultural competence. 

​

This means you will learn how different cultures can influence your life.  

​

  1. I will understand how culture impacts the way I should talk to people. 

  2. I will develop intercultural competence that will influence my personal choices. 

Technology  

​

The learner will choose and utilize appropriate technologies to access, organize, and analyze and communicate information. 

​

This means you will learn to use the correct technology for the task that has been given to you.  

​

  1. I will learn to use the right technology to organize my information.    

  2. I will learn to use new technological ways to analyze my information.

Analysis and Interpretation  

​

The learner will apply the basic principles of interpretation and analysis to synthesize information. 

​

This means you will understand something and be able to make a conclusion.  

​

  1. I will learn how to synthesize information that is given to me. 

  2. I will develop different ways to make a conclusion.  

Problem Solving  

​

The learner will apply the basic principles of mathematics and/or scientific inquiry to identify, interpret and evaluate and solve problems. 

​

This means you will use what you know to solve problems. 

​

  1. I will develop new strategies to solve problems faster.

  2. I will learn to use what I already know to develop new ways to evaluate problems.
